Wayne Woodzell is the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Local PT. Wayne has been a physical therapist in the Dover area for the past 20 years and has made a significant impact on the health of the local community during that time. He graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Delaware and again in 2000 with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. Wayne became one of the first Board Certified Sports Specialists in Delaware in 2001. He later earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Wilmington University to further his education and grow his knowledge of business.

Wayne has focused his career on sports rehabilitation and outpatient therapy services. He served as a member and president of the Examining Board of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training in the past and has spent countless Friday nights on the sidelines of local football team games.

Wayne and his wife Becky are both physical therapists and Becky works for the Caesar Rodney School District. They are University of Delaware dual graduates (Double Dels). Wayne and Becky made their home in nearby Camden over 16 years ago. They have raised their two children in the Caesar Rodney school district and love to spend time with their two dogs. Outside of his professional life, Wayne loves to exercise, but is ultimately a foodie who enjoys all types of food.
